I found plans on the internet for making a solar oven and I want to try it just for the fun of it... not because I'm some kinda environmental weirdo. I thought maybe baking cookies would be a good start. Any tips from someone who has done this before?

Hey,

Nothing weird about caring about the environment, wanting to reduce your utility expenses, etc.! I honor any step towards reducing utility consumption, and also furthering knowledge through experimentation!

I have not tried a solar oven and don't know anything about them, but I would love to also try to do this! My only question is - does it only work when it's hot out? Because right now it's cold and snowy here, so I'm not sure I could try for a while...

Baking is one of my favorite hobby if I have extra time I baked simple food like cookies and cakes.
