After the hugely successful cake decorating contest hosted by The Daring Kitchen in conjunction with the great folks at the US Confection Connection, we’re pleased to say that we have two tickets up for grabs to the New York Cake Convention being held in New York City on January 2 to January 5, 2010.

If you’re in the New York area, or if you think you can be in New York for the convention, we urge you to take part in the giveaway.

So how does it work?

Simple.

Bake or cook something that represents what New York means to you. You can bake something sweet or savoury and you can cook something sweet or savoury. It’s entirely up to you.

The only rules are that you photograph your dish and explain why it inspires you to think of New York City.

We’ve set up a thread in the Daring Kitchen forums for you to upload a picture of your creation. Don’t forget to include an explanation of what inspired you to create your dish.

Once you’ve posted your entry, send an e-mail to Lis and Ivonne at lamiacucina{@}adelphia{dot}net and creampuffsinvenice{@}gmail{dot}com. The e-mail should include:

• Your full name.
• If you’re a Daring Kitchen member, your DK username.
• Your mailing address.
• A phone number you can be reached at during the day and during the evening.

The deadline for the contest is midnight on December 20th. We will announce the winner on December 22.

While we can’t pay for your trip or accommodations, if you can be in New York on January 2nd to January 5th, we’re happy to give you a ticket to this great event.
