Where's a good place to upload photos?
Thu, 04/23/2009 - 23:47
Unfortunately I only have a free account at flickr and so I run out of room really early into the month. No other free photo upload site I've seen produces clear photos, and inserting the photo straight into my blog also results in blurry photos.
Any suggestions?

Elissa, you can also take a look at the ZenPhoto. I love being able to have rotating photo thumbnails appear in my sidebar, as well as having my photos right on my own site. It's super easy to install and use with WordPress.
SulaBlue @ The Yeast I Could Do
You can also consider photobucket.com. The free account does give you plenty of space for storing large photos.
I like Photobucket as well. I like that you can organize photos into folders and subfolders, do basic editing on photos, etc. I've enjoyed using it so far!

Elissa, since you're on Wordpress too, I usually upload every photo for each entry onto Wordpress' server. I do this because I feel uploading it to another photo hosting site, then inserting the URL, is 1) too much work, and 2) affects clarity, color etc. However, I'm beginning to wonder if WP's servers might do the same, as sometimes it seems as if my photo doesn't look as crisp as it does prior to uploading it to their servers, but then I compare, and can't see much of a difference. Maybe I need my eyes checked..lol

I have used www.hostmyjpg.com/ a couple of times and like them. However I don't host a lot of photos so I'm not sure if it's really the best option.

Picasa and Image Shack are the two places I generally upload my pictures and share with my friends. Flickr is great too, why do u need more when u can there. Then there are always community sites, where u can upload pictures for ur friends to see there. Good luck
Imgur is a good one to use. It's simple and you don't need to log in to quickly upload a picture. If you do create an account you can make folders and when send an 'album' of pictures to people in one link.
