I'm a Polish girl living on The Green Isle, where I've moved over 3 years ago. It's great but weather could be better Wink

I'm working in a tourism industry – have Masters in Tourism and Hotel management. Happily married for over a year now, but unfortunately still no children...
My love with food started very early. My Granny is a confectioner and a Granddad (her husband) was a butcher. Food was always present and very important in my life. Everything I know I've learned from my Dad (he will do anything from cakes, jams, pickles, cured or smoked meat or even home made wine) You may be surprised - but my Mum can't cook Wink

How long have you been a Daring Baker/Daring Cook and what’s your favorite thing about being in the group(s) so far?

I've joined DB in March '09 making Lasagne. It was a tough start but I enjoyed it so much! You took me out of my comfort zone with that for sure.

Reading any good books lately? Which ones?!

I've just finished a great book (another one, I've read all his books) by Christopher Moore “A dirty job”. I love everything by Harlan Coben, Siergiej Lukjanienko and Terry Prattchet.

Are you known for making a certain dish or dessert? If so, what is it?

At work everyone knows and likes my Cinnamon cake, it's very easy and so delicious. At home - my Hubby just told me he loves everything I bake or cook Wink

Is there any recipe and/or technique that we haven’t covered yet that you’d really like to make/learn?

As a Daring Baker I would like to try and bake Sachertorte and French Macarons. As a Daring Cook I want to learn how to make traditional Indian curry – so I don't have to buy it anymore!

Do you have a favorite movie? Actor? Actress? Genre of music?

Favorite movie – impossible to tell, there are so many... Actor easy - I love John Travolta! I will also watch anything with Will Smith or Meryl Streep. I like French music, West End and Broadway musicals.

You’ve had a rough week. We feel your pain. How do you relax after a rough week?

It seems that I have lots of rough weeks lately... I turn on dvd player and watch few episodes of “Family Guy” – Stewie, the greatest baby in the world! Smile More seriously – hugging my cat, walk along the beach, good movie or a book. Sometimes a nice bottle of wine, good food and a quite evening with the ones I love.

What is the ultimate comfort food to you?

Ice creams! That's it.

Which season (Winter, Summer, Spring, Fall) is your favorite.. why?

I think, I like all. Each is different and unique. Each season brings something new to look forward to.

ther than cooking and/or baking.. what hobbies do you enjoy?

Recently I discovered card making, don't have a lot of time for it but like it. I also enjoy learning new languages – as for me it's not only a language itself but whole new culture, history and... food!
