How long have you been a Daring Baker/Daring Cook and what’s your favorite thing about being in the group(s) so far?
I’m a Daring Baker since two months, so I’ve made only two challenges for the moment, but I’m really happy and excited to be member of such an amazing group!
Are you known for making a certain dish or dessert? If so, what is it?
Since I love cupcakes, my colorful and sweet cupcakes are quite famous among friends and relatives.
Do you have a favorite movie? Book? Genre of music? Actor? Actress?
My favorite movies are: Lost in Translation, Braveheart, Notting Hill, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Chocolat, and Dirty Dancing
You’ve just won $5000.00!!! What would you spend it on?
I would finish to pay my new car! And if something remains, a long and relaxing holiday!
What is the ultimate comfort food to you?
Rice pudding, so white and creamy and sweet and comforting!
Which season (Winter, Summer, Spring, Fall) is your favorite.. why?
It’s difficult to decide… can I say all of them? Winter for Christmas, snow and cinnamon and vanilla smell in the kitchen during holidays. Spring for new life coming everywhere, light and delicate colours, freshly cut grass smell and flowers. Summer for the sun, the sea and my birthday, ice cream, holidays and nights out. Fall for bright and warm tree colours, fireplace and chestnuts, first cold weather and scarves.
Other than cooking and/or baking.. what hobbies do you enjoy?
I love walking in the countryside and reading.
How long have you been blogging? Do you like it? What’s your favorite post you’ve written?
I’ve been blogging for more than a year now, and I love it every day more. It’s my passion, my free and personal moments, the only thing where I’m completely free!
What’s your favorite cookbook for desserts/baking? What’s your favorite cookbook for savory/cooking?
I love all Tessa Kiros, Jamie Oliver and Donna Hay books: they are my cooking and baking bibles.
Who taught you how to cook and/or bake?
My grandma Marcella: she’s the best! Lately I learn a lot from cooking books and blogs.
What’s your favorite holiday and why?
I’m uncertain in between Christmas holidays – so heartwarming, so full of sweet memories – and summer holidays – sea, sun, beach, free time!
Where is your favorite vacation (holiday) destination?
I love London, but I’d like to visit Paris as well!
What is your favorite cooking/food related magazine? Why?
Jamie and Donna Hay!
Do you have a food addiction?
Chocolate and vegetables!
What did you eat for dinner last night? Did you prepare it or someone else?
I had a zucchini and eggplant risotto, made in 20 minutes at last minute!
If you had the choice of a free kitchen, bathroom, living room or bedroom makeover – which would you choose and why?
Needless to say: kitchen! But as I can choose, I’d like the ultimate kitchen, with everything I would ever need, lot of working space, props, bright light and a huge window… if I dream, I dream the best!
What’s your favorite “sweet” spice? How about your favorite “savory” spice?
Vanilla and cardamom as regards sweet spices and curry as regards savory ones.
If you could eat in any celebrity chef’s restaurant which restaurant would it be, and which chef owns it?
I obviously would choose Jamie’s restaurant in London!
What’s your favorite herb to cook or bake with? Do you prefer fresh or dried?
I love fresh herbs like thyme, marjoram and fennel.
