Ok, so now I have to talk about me, without answering questions... I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I was born here, so is my native town. I also consider New York as my town…

... since I’ve lived there ten years ago for six months, and I visit all my friends there every time I have a chance. I love to travel, my family always travel on vacations (of course when we can), so I learn to love to get on a plane and go away... I’m a graphic designer, also a pastry chef. I would love to mix all the things I love, and make them my job, but it’s to difficult. I work as a graphic designer for a company, but I’m also trying to start a small catering business for children parties. I like to paint, photography, baking, drawing, travel... I’ll be very happy if before I turn 40 I can get my pastry/baking mini shop working, so I have six years to make that happen.

How long have you been a Daring Baker/Daring Cook and what’s your favorite thing about being in the group(s) so far?

I´m in the Daring Bakers group since the February 2009 challenge... and it was amazing to start with a chocolate challenge... it’s one of the most important ingredient in a dessert. I’ve missed the next challenge because it was to hot (the weather, of course!) to make lasagna, and now I’m back for April! I started to read and watch other cooks’ blogs last year... and then I noticed that there was a lot of people that post the same recipe on the same date... so I think to myself: why not write my own blog sharing with other all the things that I like and I want to mix, and in Spanish!? Most of the blogs I was watching were in English... so I wrote one post, and then I ask Lisa and Ivonne to join the group. It’s great to be part of a group of people that love to bake, I learn a lot watching other experiences and pictures, and it’s a good way to make your blog popular!

What’s your favorite kitchen gadget? How about your favorite kitchen appliance?

I love kitchen gadgets! Even if I don’t know what they do Smile

I buy as many as I can, and whenever I travel, I look for them always! I love my collection of “jo!e little egg gadgets”, the ice cream scoop from Prepara, the nuscup from Dalla Piazza... I worked in a product design studio that makes all kind of kitchen gadget, so every time I visit them, I get a new one Wink. I also love all my collection of cookie cutter and cake pans: small, big, different shapes...
I don’t have a favorite appliance... I have a new Oster electric mixer that it’s almost professional.

Are you known for making a certain dish or dessert? If so, what is it?

Since I can remember I made cakes for every birthday... first my family, then my high school mates... I made the box cakes, but then I started to learn how to make desserts from scratch. I take same courses, and I finally I took the professional course: pastry chef.

Now, one of the favorites are my brownies... and since I made the first time the chocolate valentino cake from February challenge, everybody ask for more... the plain sponge cake with dulce de leche filling is another classic.

Is there any recipe and/or technique that we haven’t covered yet that you’d really like to make/learn?

I love to bake, and I love to use my imagination on presentations... I think that I have most technics covered, but I love the challenge of made variations, or change the way I serve my baking goods every time.

Do you have a favorite movie? Book? Genre of music?

I read a lot, but I don’t have a preferred gender or author... I just read. The last book I read is from a Spanish author that I like, very well narrated fiction: Carlos Ruiz Zafon. The book I just finished is “El juego del Angel” (the angel game), but the one I like the most is his other best seller “La sombra del viento” (the winds shadows). I also enjoy a lot reading the Harry Potter saga in English.

I like to see certain movies at the cinema, but what I really enjoy is to watch some chick flick in the bed... I loved “When Harry meets Sally”, “Working girl”, of course “Sex and The City”, etc. My most favorite commercial movies are the Indiana Jones films.

I just listen to music... but I don’t really know much about it. I like a lot R.E.M.

You’ve just won $5000.00!!! But it comes with some stipulations.. you can’t spend it on your kids or your significant other! This is all YOURS. What would you spend it on? (we’re also going to fantasize that you have no bills whatsoever! Woo!! Hehee)

OH! I would do so many things!

First of all stop to work on a regularly basis for a while, and enjoy traveling, baking most often, and getting around doing nothing at all!

But on the other hand, i would take that money and put it on my little cafe shop (the one I want to own)... few tables, exhibitions (art, design, clothes...), and a big counter with fresh baked stuff.

What is the ultimate comfort food to you?

I just eat it yesterday! It’s starting to be a little colder so I decide to make it... is a spanish dish: puchero; you can make it with poultry or meat, and basically is a pot with some vegetables, potato, carrot, pumpkin, sweet potato, corn, the meat and boiled... maybe one of the spanish ladies can give the traditional Spanish recipe. I also love italian food as a comfort food... pizza and pasta are the best! My favorite is margherita pizza and pomodoro e basilico pasta. Here the food is mostly spanish or italian, so we’ve been adapting this food since the immigrations years (1910). I also love the american chicken pot pie mmmm!... and from France: coq au vin!

In the dessert field, I have to vote for the chocolate mousse and panqueques con dulce de leche.

Which season (Winter, Summer, Spring, Fall) is your favorite.. why?

I like spring and fall, because I don’t like the very hot or the very cold weather... unless I'm in a beach in Fort Lauderdale, or in the mountains in Switzerland Wink!

Other than cooking and/or baking.. what hobbies do you enjoy?

I like to go to the movies, or to a nice restaurant with my friends... I like to knit and sew, but I don’t really know how to do it. I also love to babysit my little niece, she is a princess! But anytime I have the chance, I like to travel, and usually, during the travels, I enjoy a lot buying baking gadgets and clothes Smile I’m a girl after all!
