Hi, my name is Sherry I have been married for 40 years, catering for 20 years.

I have been to culinary school for a couple of years and now between catering and working at Williams Sonoma part time and having a new grandson, I'm busier than ever. Our blog is our family blog -- my husband (not posted yet) two sons, two daughter-in-laws and my daughter.

I "think" I have been a DB/DC for a couple of months. I signed up right away when starting my blog back in June but go so into doing our website that I haven't done a challenge, I'm sorry. I love a challenge and come the competition always.

Favorite kitchen gadget is a Ulu that my sister brought me from Alaska.

Known for making my Crunchy Romaine Toss Salad -- catering favorite that I finally let go of the recipe and blogged it.

Favorite movie is French Kiss

Ultimate comfort food is my homemade tamales and a bowl of chili

I like Winter and we don't have much of it here in Texas

Hobbies -- I love going to the movies and playing computer games

Been blogging sine June 2009. I guess right now, my favorite post would be any of the ones that I have "food memories" that concern my parents -- I lost both of them in 2008.

Favorite flower is my "bat face" -- looks just like a red and purple bat with teeth.

Who taught me to cook -- I guess both parents. They didn't cook anything fancy but my dad hunted and fished and my mother could cook his "catch" deliciously.

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. We do a Michie Feast the day after Thanksgiving and we always have a theme. Last year it was Spanish Tapas and the year before French Country. Everyone cookes, drinks and has a great time.

Last books I red were the Twilight series.

Favorite magazines is Saveur and Food and Wine. Good ideas for catering.

Favorite colors purple and lime green.

My favorite cooking competitive show would be the Next Food Network Star. I love the ideas and if they can do it, I think I can do it.
