Chocoley Chocolate & Chocolate Supplies
This product was tested and reviewed by Nicole & Krista of Two Cups of Sugar.
Like two 13 year old girls awaiting a Justin Bieber concert, we anxiously awaited our package containing Chocoley Chocolate products to review. Why yes we do LOVE chocolate that much!
In the box we received the following:
- Bada Bing Bada Boom Dipping and Enrobing Chocolate (in Milk Chocolate)
- CocoaLava Gourmet Liquid Chocolate
- Bada Bing Bada Boom Candy Melts (in Dark Chocolate and White Chocolate)
- Caramel Cream Center
Like any good baker would do, we sampled each product once upon its arrival (ok… maybe twice three times). Mmmmm….
Bada Bing Bada Boom Dipping and Enrobing Chocolate (in Milk Chocolate)

This was very very simple to use. Simply heat water in the bottom of a double boiler (do not boil) and place a small amount of chocolate in a double boiler (or alternatively the chocolate could be melted in a bowl in the microwave). Chocoley recommend small batches of chocolate, in order to better be able to control the temperature. We learned this the hard way, and our first batch went clumpy half way through our dipping. Don’t worry no product was wasted – we took care of it
.
We dipped strawberries and bananas into the chocolates. Set them aside until they had hardened and then served them to Nicole’s family. They were delicious. Very fast and easy to make and they look impressive!
VERDICT: Excellent! The chocolate is very tasty. It has a smooth creamy texture.
CocoaLava Gourmet Liquid Chocolate

First up we put the simplest item to the test. This product comes in a squeeze bottle that you keep at room temperature. Shake it well and drizzle it over anything! Ice cream, fruit, cake, you name it.
We did not like the taste of the CocoaLava on its own but thought that we would give it a try on things.
This product is very interesting, the company says that it is heat stable and will never harden. They recommended freezing some of the product to transform it into a ganache like state and then coating it in chocolate to create a liquid centre. That sounded pretty cool to us so we gave it a try. It was really quite neat. We scooped out some of the “frozen” CocoaLava and dipped it into melted candy melts and put them to set in the fridge. The results were cool - a hard chocolate shell with a liquid chocolate filling. Can’t say that we enjoyed the taste of these chocolates either… a given since we didn’t like the taste of the filling.
VERDICT: Not so good. We found that this product had a weird taste – kind of chocolaty but not really. It was oily and just had a weird texture to it. Hard to describe but we did not like it. It was not quite what we were hoping for.
Bada Bing Bada Boom Candy Melts (in Dark Chocolate and White Chocolate)

We used the candy melts to dip caramel balls and caramel covered apple slices into and to coat the “frozen” CocoaLava. We also made chocolates (both solid and with the caramel cream centre) with the molds we were sent.
The taste was wonderful. Like the dipping and enrobing chocolates, these chocolates had a creamy and smooth texture.
VERDICT: We really enjoyed this and would definitely recommend it to anyone! This chocolate is as good on its own (straight out of the bag) as it is covering other delicious things!
Caramel Cream Center
This stuff is GOOD! We mean really good! It was hard not to eat the entire container when we were “sampling” the products. But luckily we do have a little bit of self-control and managed to save at least part of the container for making chocolates.
We scooped some of the caramel out of the container rolled it into balls and then dipped them into the melted candy melts. It was delicious! Definitely something you could buy in a store and pay good money for!
We also dipped apple slices into the caramel and then dipped those into chocolate. Drool!! We also used chocolate molds and added a bit of the caramel to the centre of the chocolates. Gosh these are just delicious!
VERDICT: You cannot go wrong with this product. It is possibly one of the best caramels we have ever eaten!!
OVERALL VERDICT: If you are interested in making your own chocolates we would definitely recommend you take a look at what Chocoley has to offer. On the whole, the products we sampled were fabulous! The CocoaLava was the only thing we were not thrilled about. We would probably not order it. But everyone’s tastes are different!
