Macaron substitue
Mon, 03/23/2009 - 13:51
Hopefully I'm putting this in the correct forum.
I've been thinking about making macarons. However, I am allergic to almonds. I was wondering if anyone has tried maybe hazelnuts in the almond's place? I'm not sure if any of you have suggestions for another type of nut, but I can't use almonds, pecans, walnuts or pistachios. So if you can think of anything else or link me to a place that has been successful in using a different nut or maybe even not a nut at all, that would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Yep you can substitute because what it needs is just the "strength" of the flour/powder. =) hope it helps.
