I am a 40 ish y/o female who will always be 29. I am married with...

...2 children. A girl, and boy. I am a practicing Physical Therapist as my real job. I also just graduated from culinary school with a diploma as a Pastry Chef. I want to own my own bakery . I love all things French. I will one day live in France.

How long have you been a Daring Baker/Daring Cook and what’s your favorite thing about being in the group(s) so far?

Since aug of o9. I will host in Jan 2011. Trying new recipes, and reading blogs! I love following blogs!

My kitchen aide mixer ! with the sticker on it “Bake and Destroy””!

Only by my family.. My mom’s Chinese Chews

Is there any recipe and/or technique that we haven’t covered yet that you’d really like to make/learn?

I learned a lot in Pastry school, but practice! Practice!

Movies-several.. Breaking Away, Mr Roberts, anything foreign. Music-David Bowie, and the Bird and the bee. Actor- Colin Firth.-or anyone English!

for @ 3 months..I like the baking. However, I am not a writer and my grammer is soo poor. Also I am not a photographer, and never find the time to make the pic pretty. Sri-lanka Love cake. It is soo different and soo yummy!

baking - Mastering the Art of French Pastry, and Sucre from Lauderee. savory - My mom’s cookbook.

I love all colors, but my kitchen is very bright. It wakes me up in the am.

I love Martha… haters are just jealous they do not have her success. However, I have been getting her mag since 1996, and I find now it is repeating itself!

Do you watch any competitive cooking shows? Like Top Chef or Hell’s Kitchen? If so, which is your favorite and why?

ALL…. Alex, Brian Boitano!!! Top Chef, and Masters, Chopped. My Chef friend tried out for Top Chef Baking ( which I hope will be on TV)

Seegers, before it closed., or Robushon”s in Las Vegasm, and El Bulli!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don’t bake with herbs much… I guess for bread I would. I don’t like them much in sweets..I KNOW!
