I didn't fall into the cauldron as a baby but I did take a closer look into it when I was 16. Wink

Since then I have been searching, learning , testing and tasting. But above all, enjoying every bit of it

How long have you been a Daring Baker/Daring Cook and what’s your favorite thing about being in the group(s) so far?

I've been blogging for a very long time, and enjoy it tremendously. It started with a blog-journal, mainly for myself. Then an all photography blog and now the current food blog. I guess I like to categorize, so I have many blogs! Smile My favorite post in my food blog is Blackberry jam.

What’s your favorite cookbook for desserts/baking? What’s your favorite cookbook for savory/cooking?

101 fuss-free bakes (Hilary Biller-Jenny Kay-Elinor Storkey) for desserts/baking. A beautiful book with great recipes. As for savory/cooking, I have all the troubles in the world to single out one. But for a long time it used to be Malulee Pinsuvana's Cooking Thai Food in American Kitchens (book 1). The recipes are awesome. I tried almost all of them, and I've got the stains to prove it! Wink

Is there one food that you seriously dislike/hate? If so, which is it and why?

  1. Eels. I'm ophidiophobic, that says it all...
  2. Marinerede sild (aka cured herring) It has definitely something to do with the marinade, though I can't really pin point what.

That being said, I am a fish lover and would go for freshly caught fish any day! Just as I love klippfisk, sardines, tuna and anchovies. But eels and marinated herrings? Sorry...

What’s your favorite flower and/or plant?

White Calla Lily!

My mother.
